Principal's Message
Dear Evergreen Community,
I'm thrilled to introduce myself as the Principal of Evergreen and look forward to meeting each of you soon! My name is Kelly Morrow, and I bring over 20 years of experience in education to our school community.
Let me share a bit about myself. I'm married to my husband Aaron, and we have two wonderful boys. Much of my time is spent supporting my boys in their various activities, especially baseball, as we're quite the baseball family. When I find quiet moments, I enjoy reading.
Professionally, I've dedicated over 20 years to education, with 18 years working directly in elementary schools and the past three years supporting schools district-wide. My focus has been on creating strong learning foundations for all students and ensuring every child gets the support they need to succeed. I'm passionate about reading and writing instruction, and I work with teachers to use proven strategies that help students become confident learners. I also believe in using student data to understand how each child is progressing and to make sure we're meeting their individual needs. As a literacy consultant, I've helped other school districts strengthen their reading and writing programs. Most importantly, I'm committed to creating a welcoming environment where all students can thrive both academically and socially. I firmly believe that strong partnerships between families and school are essential for student success, and I want to work together with you to help your children reach their full potential.
To our students, I promise to create a safe, nurturing environment where your voices are heard, your unique talents are celebrated, and your dreams are supported. I will be visible in your classrooms, hallways, and playground, cheering you on every step of your learning journey. To our families, I commit to transparent, regular communication and meaningful opportunities for your involvement. Your insights about your children are invaluable, and I want to partner with you in supporting their growth and success. To our community, I promise to be a good steward of the trust you place in our school, maintaining high standards while fostering the warm, inclusive atmosphere that makes Evergreen special.
I look forward to meeting each of you personally in the coming weeks. I will have a Meet and Greet on August 4th at 9am in the Cafeteria. Please feel free to reach out to me with questions, ideas, or simply to introduce yourself. My door is always open, and I believe the best insights come from listening to our school community.
Here's to a fantastic start to the 2025-26 school year! Thank you in advance for welcoming me into the Dragon Family.
Kind Regards,
Kelly Morrow
