This course focuses on expanding students' listening and speaking skills in face to face conversations in social, academic, and work contexts. Students gain the ability to read and interpret narrative passages on a variety of topics, and to write simple routine correspondence and short paragraphs. Upon successful completion of this course students are prepared to enter NESL 017.

Este curso se enfoca en expandir las habilidades de los estudiantes en el idioma Ingles en areas de escuchar, hablar, y conversar en contextos sociales, academicos, y laborales. Los estudiantes aprenderan a leer y interpertar pasajes de varios temas, escribir correspondencia y parrafos cortos. Al terminar este nivel satisfactoriamente, los estudiantes estaran preparados para ingresar al nivel intermedio II (NESL 017)
